Community Occupational Therapy Services

WorkSafeBC is charged with the administration of the Workers Compensation Act R.S.B.C. 1996 c. 492 as amended, under which we have authority to provide health care and rehabilitation services to workers who sustain injuries arising out of and in the course of their employment. In exercising that authority, a series of varied programs and services (Board Sponsored Rehabilitation Services) have been established to meet injured-worker and referral-source needs, and help injured workers recover from injury and return to work in a safe and timely manner.

When an injured worker's claim is accepted, WorkSafeBC may refer the worker for occupational therapy services required to help him/her recover from compensable injury. Please note: Services must be pre-approved by a Board Officer.
